Watching the diet for successful weight loss is tough if the food you eat is boring and flavorless. 

The key to having a successful weight loss program is having awesome flavor in t your foods while keeping them low in calories and fat.

Here is a simple way that I taught one of my Willow Glen clients, just yesterday when she was working with me (her favorite personal trainer;-), to season chicken and fish on an as needed basis.  She tried it last night and loved it...so I'm going to share it with you today!

You can make the following recipe in whatever quantity you want due to the fact that I set it up in "parts" rather than specific measurements (like cups). 

I recommend making extra and storing it for future use.

Ready-To-Go Spiced Rub

  • 3 Parts Granulated Garlic
  • 3 Parts Brown Sugar
  • 3 Parts Paprika
  • 1-2 Parts Kosher Salt
  • 2 Part Chili Powder
  • 1 Part Turmeric
  • 1 Part Cracked Pepper

Now you can alter the measurements in this to meet your own weight loss needs and guidelines.  I prefer more salt, but my body is ok with salt...yours may not be, so adjust accordingly.

Store this rub in an airtight container and sprinkle on your chicken or fish prior to cooking!
