Questions about how carbohydrates work with weight loss seem to dominate the minds of everyone interested in losing the excess body fat now days.
So let's start off with a seemingly simple Question: What carbohydrates are used for?

Simple Answer: Energy!
Why the question about carbohydrates in the diet?
Simplified Answer: Because deleting carbohydrates from the diet causes fat loss due to the body moving into burning FAT for energy instead of carbohydrates.
More Information: Different carbohydrates are used by the body in different ways!

But isn't it just calories-in/Calories-out?
Well, that Sounds good...but let's ask a simple question:
What if....We were to compare 2 similar individuals, call them identical for the sake of argument, and put them on 2 diets:
- Balanced with the "right" carbohydrates, or even no carbohydrates, and say 2000 calories.
- 2000 calories all coming from chocolate cake.

Let's Call it The Chocolate Cake Diet
VS.
The Right Diet
Would ANYONE suggest that person #2 might have better results, or even identical results?
I think not...but the argument is still being made that only calories-in/calories-out matters. Go figure!
So if you follow this train of thought, there is clearly something about the carbohydrates in the diet that makes a big difference.
Introduction to Carbohydrates:

Fibrous Carbohydrates: Examples are green vegetables like broccoli, asparagus, leafy veggies, and unprocessed/refined grains.

Starchy Carbohydrates: Examples include potatoes, products containing flour, products containing processed corn (like tortillas).

Simple Carbohydrates: Sugar (anything ending in "ose" like sucrose, dextrose...), and fruit.
Do the carbohydrates from the same group act the same on the body?
Not exactly...There are actually good and bad carbohydrates in each group as well as reasons to have or not have the good and bad ones in each group.

Still Confused?
That is the problem, and the reason for this series.
Follow along and you will learn exactly what you need to lose body fat and keep it off for good!

And NO super technical BS that you won't understand anyway...Just the truth in simple English.
